LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s (PTI) stance has been vindicated by the re-poll decision in NA-125 and by the NADRA report on NA-122, PTI Punjab president Ejaz Chaudhry said on Sunday.

Talking to The Express Tribune, he said that PTI chief Imran Khan would soon visit Lahore aboard Azadi Bus.

He dismissed media reports that the PTI chief would visit Lahore within a few days, saying Khan’s visit depended upon the election tribunal’s decision in NA-122.

“The people of Lahore expect Imran Khan to visit the city. Khan will come as soon as the result of NA-122 petition is announced. He will visit the constituencies where the people’s mandate was stolen during the 2013 elections. Call it a protest or a celebration, we will be out on the streets, telling people what we always knew to be true, that the elections were rigged,” he said.

He said that the NADRA forensic report about the NA-122 votes had revealed rigging.

“It took us two years to get a ruling on just one constituency. [Yet] the party continued its struggle to prove that rigging had indeed taken place. Justice delayed is justice denied,” he said.

“It has been proved that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) conducted systematic rigging in the 2013 elections,” he said.

Separately, the PTI Lahore president Abdul Aleem Khan said that the country would be rid of the present government in 2015. “The government’s dream of completing its five year tenure will remain unfulfilled,” he said, while addressing an organisational meeting of PP-147 workers.

He directed party workers to prepare for the NA-122 re-election. The meeting also decided to speed up preparations for the local government elections.

Malik Idrees | 9 years ago | Reply Sir twisted manipulators like yourself and leader Imran Khan are not welcome in Lahore. Go destabilize your house not our peace. We are not naive and blind, every sane person with an iota of common sense can read what the nadra report has actually highlighted. 60 percent of the votes were unverifiable due to bad quality of thumb impressions/ ink. While only 73,000 votes were verified your liar leader got 83,000 votes. Unless you blame Imran Khan for rigging aswell, you have no moral authority to blame PMLN for any irregularity as well. The masses will vote for those who deliver and not for people who twist the truth to hide their short comings.
