Rescue 1122 issues Basant plan

To ensure the safety of lives and property of citizens during Basant, the Punjab Emergency Service released an emergency plan on Friday.
According to Rescue 1122 sources, personnel will remain on high alert during in Lahore with more than 1200 trained rescuers, 56 ambulances, 24 fire vehicles and 300 rescue motorbikes deployed at important places across the city.
In addition to the 23 rescue stations in Lahore, "key points" have been established at various sensitive and important locations.
Along with the rescue stations, ambulances, fire vehicles and rescue motorbikes will be deployed at 180 key points to enable immediate response in any emergency.
In view of the narrow streets and traffic pressure, rescue motorbikes have been deployed for timely access.
Special rescue teams will also be present in various areas, including Walled City, Mozang, Ichhra, Shad Bagh and Data Darbar.
