TANK: At least two people were killed and one injured during an attack on a police official’s house in Tank, Express News reported.
According to police, unidentified assailants shot dead Rusmaar Khan Auraan’s mother among others in Machan Khel area.
The injured woman was shifted to a nearby hospital by the rescue team right after the incident.
“A case has been registered and investigation is under way,” the police authorities said, adding that it is too early to say if the attack took place due to personal enmity.
Earlier, a police van targeted by unidentified persons in the Tank district had left one security official dead and five others injured on January 27.

The official said the explosion was caused when a remote-controlled improvised explosive device (IED) was detonated in Gomel. He also said that the police vehicle was on its routine patrol route when the roadside bomb struck.
