Aadat singer Atif Aslam has been very successful with his soulful songs in Bollywood and is now ready to entertain and impress his fans with his acting skills. After Pakistani heartthrobs Fawad Khan and Ali Zafar took to the big screen in B-Town, Atif is also geared up to make his acting debut in Bollywood, reported India Today.

Best known for his chartbusters Pehli Nazar MeinTu Jaane NaWo LamheyAadat and Tere Bin, the 32-year-old made his acting debut with Bol in 2011 and since then has been flooded with offers from Bollywood but resisted the temptation.

"I have been getting offers since the past couple of years and you will probably see me in a film by the end of this year or beginning of next year," Atif told PTI.

Stating that he has not yet signed a film, the singer did mention that he is interested in a dark or romantic role and if it were focused more towards love and music.

"I am excited about both (kinds of roles)," he said without naming the producers who have offered him the roles.

However, Indian producer Kumar Taurani has confirmed the news saying, "Yes, Atif will be making his Bollywood debut with my film. However, though I am saying this it should be clear that nothing is yet finalized, we are still talking to Atif," reported Bollywood Hungama.

Though the producers are not ready to reveal much at this stage, it has been disclosed that Atif has signed a three film deal with Tips.

"Besides this, Atif has also signed on with Tips to release his music and albums, the first of which (album) will be next year in January after which we will formally announce the film with him in the lead," the producer revealed.

He further added that Atif will be singing all the songs in his film. "One more point that we are happy about and looking forward to is that Atif being the voice for many Bollywood stars will be singing and doing his own music for the film," he said.

Atif, whose previous three albums Jalpari, Doorie and Meri Kahani were huge hits, will be back with a new one later this year.

"It will be out by the end of this year. I am going back to the roots as the music is not very electronic. It's soft like Jalpari," said Atif.

Although his concert in Pune was cancelled recently following opposition by Indian political party Shiv Sena, the Pakistani star said he admires the hospitality, culture and the love people in India give him.

Abdul | 9 years ago | Reply I wonder why Pakistani actors, singers, and other folks go to India to earn money ?
chrome | 9 years ago | Reply Few years back Atif was the guy who was taking potshot at Ali Zafar by saying I am not like other Pakistani singers who will do anything in Bollywood to earn money. Looks like he was jealous of Ali Zafar's success in Bollywood. Look at him now...LOL....Now as he is getting less songs because of Arijit Singh he is doing anything to earn money. This guy is full of arrogance, glad he came down crashing on earth from 1st flooe of building :D
