‘Give us our due share’: The deaf demand relief

Traffic was blocked on The Mall for several hours

LAHORE: Scores of deaf and mute people from across the Punjab held a demonstration on The Mall to press their demands of the right to be issued driving licences; exemption from taxes; and five per cent quota in government jobs. Traffic was blocked on The Mall for several hours and police were called in to prevent any untoward incident.
