Road to progress: PDWP approves 11 development projects

It was decided to delay three projects due to inadequate project designs

The provincial government approved 11 development projects worth Rs9.94 billion on Thursday.


The projects were approved at a meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) which was chaired by Additional Chief Secretary K-P Hammad Owais Agha at the Civil Secretariat.

During the meeting, PDWP discussed 14 development projects related to higher education, elementary and secondary education, public health engineering, communications and works, local government and social welfare department. However, it decided to delay three projects due to inadequate project designs.

PDWP approved the establishment of a home economics college in Nowshera and gave a green signal to maintenance work on playgrounds at 111 higher secondary schools in K-P. Furthermore, it approved the construction and rehabilitation of water supply and sanitation schemes across the province.

PDWP also approved construction of a road in Qalagy Union Council and the construction of Tall Chor Road in Tall UC, Taran Road in Kaley UC and Talang Churkhai Road in Kota UC, Swat.
