GHALLANAI: The wife of a Frontier Corps soldier was killed while his brother was injured when unidentified gunmen attacked his house in Thana area of Ghallanai at midnight on Tuesday. The political administration of Mohmand Agency confirmed the attack saying unidentified men entered the house of Sarwar Khan some two kilometres from the agency headquarters in Ghallanai. They gunned down the wife of FC trooper Muhammad Riaz Khan, son of Sarwar Khan, while Riaz’s brother Sahib Khan was injured in the firing. The assailants also opened fire at a pick-up parked at the hujra attached to the house. FC soldier Riaz escaped the attack as he was not at home at the time.
