LAHORE:

DCO Muhammad Usman said on Tuesday a crackdown would be launched on those adulterating fertilisers and pesticides.

He told a meeting that the city government’s Agriculture Department had been visiting markets to check the quality of fertiliser and pesticide. He directed the agriculture EDO to prepare a report about those who had been called by court on account of adulteration of fertiliser and pesticide.

Separately, the DCO told a meeting of the District Review Committee that teachers’ absence from public schools should be checked.

Usman directed the education EDO to take action against the teachers frequently absent from schools.
