Time to perform: Sports Gala for special students at PU

LAHORE: A two-day annual Sports Gala 2015 for special students kicked off at the Punjab University (PU) Department of Special Education on Tuesday. Speaking at the opening ceremony, PU Faculty of Law Dean Shazia Naureen Qureshi said special persons had capabilities that needed to be brought to the forefront.

She appreciated sportsmanship among the special students. She said the students’ morale was high. She said citizens along with the government should play their role for promoting such activities. Faculty of Education Dean Mumtaz Akhter, In charge Humaira Bano, Assistant Professor Hina Fazil, Faculty of Life Sciences Acting Dean Naeem Khan, Institute of Communication Studies In charge Noshina Saleem and Chief Medical Officer Nauman Ahmed were present.
