MULTAN:

Police on Monday registered a case after an 11-year-old boy claimed that he had been kidnapped by a group of terrorists.

Police said Husnain, a resident of Chechawatni, had told them that he had been kidnapped on way to school on Saturday. “On Monday, they took him to the LaSalle School in their car and asked him to wear a suicide jacket. When he refused, they asked him to carry it and drop it near the building. The boy dropped the jacket and then ran off. He went to an army checkpost and told them about what had happened,” police said. However, police and security agencies found no explosives there. Multan Operations SSP Chaudhry Saleem said that security had been beefed up at the school. Sahiwal police have taken Husnain’s family members into custody for questioning.
