LAHORE:

Norwegian Ambassador Leif H Larsen on Thursday inaugurated the Royal Norwegian Consulate in Lahore. Naveen Fareed has been appointed as Norway’s first honourary consul in Lahore. Ambassador Larsen said the opening of the consulate signified the strengthening of Norway’s ties with Lahore and with the Punjab.

“In addition to providing services to Norwegian nationals in the area, the new consulate will help strengthen bilateral business relations,” he said.

“I am delighted to have Naveen on board Team Norway and look forward to working with her,” the ambassador said. Fareed said the step would promote good relations between both countries. “People of Pakistan and Norway will benefit from this decision,” she said. “With the help of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, we are enhancing business activities in Pakistan,” Fareed said.
