Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Peshawar requested the district and political administrations to crack down against publishers producing cheating material for the intermediate exams scheduled for April 29.
Talking to The Express Tribune, BISE Chairman Muhammad Shafi Afridi shared a date sheet for the exams, saying the preparations had been completed.
He shared that 96,000 girls and boys will appear in 301 examination centres across three districts, two agencies and Frontier Region Peshawar. The districts included Peshawar, Charsadda and Chitral, while Khyber and Mohmand agencies were among the tribal areas.
Afridi said supervisors and invigilators were chosen via a draw and will be trained over two days on April 25 and 26.
The chairman added that the BISE has requested all college and school principals to inform students about the perils of cheating and to convince them not to engage in any such malpractice.

He added heads of government schools were asked to ban the use of photocopy machines on campus as students make copies of notes and use them during the examination.
Afridi said despite a complete ban on the printing of cheating material, some publishers still make pocket guides and sell them on the black market. He added the authority requested all districts and political administrations to throw any publishers or shopkeepers involved in this illegal practice behind bars.
The chairman said authorities have also been requested to provide security at centres and impose Section 144 during exams.
