ISLAMABAD:

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervaiz Rashid on Tuesday strongly condemned an act of intimidation and use of force by Imran’s government against the employees of provincial departments, who staged a peaceful protest demonstration in front of provincial assembly demanding upgradation of their scales as pledged by his government.

He said Imran’s deliverance of justice was manifested by use of force and tear gas on K-P employees today.

Instead of paying heed to their demands, the protesters were baton charged by the police, which is highly deplorable, he added.

This act shows that Imran’s Government believes in silencing dissenting voices and was not interested in serving the people who voted them into power, he said.

He advised Imran Khan to strive for addressing the genuine demands and grievances of the employees instead of using force against them.
