BAHAWALPUR:

The city will undergo a thorough spring clean from April 27 to May 2, a meeting chaired by Commissioner Saqib Zafar decided on Tuesday.

All government departments have been directed to participate in the Cleanliness Week. Zafar said the DCOs of Bahawalpur’s three districts will submit daily reports to the divisional control room. He directed the Public Health Engineering Department to ensure that all contractors cleared up debris and rubble around construction sites after completion of their projects.

He told the waste management company to arrange for special vehicles to collect surgical waste from all hospitals.
