Library Week: ITU launches library website

LAHORE: A website for the Information Technology University library was launched at a ceremony held on the opening day of a Library Week on Monday. Information Technology University Registrar Zaheer Sarwar inaugurated the website. A statement issued by the university on the occasion said that the week would feature Iqbal Day celebrations on Tuesday (today), a National Book Day on Wednesday (April 22) and a poetry recital on Thursday. Giving details about the events, the statement said that author Bushra Rehman would deliver a talk on the habit of reading and promotion of book reading on the National Book Day. The university also said in the statement that the last day of the Library Week on Friday (April 24) would feature a book fair.
