The bodies of two men were found in Lasbela within the limits of Rizvia police station on Monday.
While there were earlier reports that the deceased men belonged to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement and were declared absconders after being released on parole in 2006, police officials denied this.
SHO Malik Mazhar said that one of the men was later identified as 35-year-old Naeem Jan, son of Qadir Buksh, who hailed from Jamshoro, according to the CNIC found in his pocket. Police officials claimed that the deceased had been kidnapped by unidentified persons, who shot him once in the head before dumping him. The body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy and later shifted to the Edhi morgue in Sohrab Goth. A case has been registered on behalf of the state against unidentified culprits. Further investigation is underway.
Meanwhile, the second body found was not identified. Police officials said that the body, which belonged to a drug addict, was at least three days old.
