Life Threats: Police ordered to record complaint

He said he believed that her husband and their son had sent the messages

LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge directed the Nisthar Colony SHO on Saturday to record the statement of a man who said he had received life threats for pursuing a blasphemy case. Qari Iftikhar Ahmed said an FIR had been registered on his complaint against Salma Tanveer under Section 295-C (blasphemy) of the Pakistan Penal Code. He said he had received phone calls and text messages warning him against pursuing the case. He said he believed that her husband and their son had sent the messages.
