LAHORE: Five men including a son of a former state minister held for killing a youth and injuring another in a shooting incident in Cavalry Ground area were sent on a two-week judicial remand on Friday. The police produced the main suspect, Mustafa Kanju, son of former state minster Siddique Kanju, and his four guards before the anti-terrorism court and told the court that they had completed investigation of the suspects. The FIR registered on the complaint of Muhammad Sohail Afzal, an uncle of the deceased Zain, had accused Kanju of killing the 16-year-old boy and injuring another, later identified as Hussain, following his car’s collision with another car at Street No4, Cavalary Ground, on April 1. It said Kanju had stepped out of his car and started indiscriminate firing at the other car following the collision. It added that a bullet fired by Kanju hit Zain, who was riding past the scene, killing him on the spot.
