The bomb, planted near the green belt, weighed at least 25kgs.

The incident occurred after the security convoy had passed the vicinity of the blast and no one was injured.
“The device went off when there was no vehicle around. As a result it did not lead to any casualties” said a police official while talking to The Express Tribune.
Yesterday (Thursday), four men were arrested from the garrison city on Wednesday for allegedly injuring a serving Pakistan Army official.
Maj Ashan Saghir was driving to the Race Course area when, at around 6pm, a motorcycle hit the rear side of the army official’s car, said the investigation officer (IO), Muhammad Mazhar. “An irate Saghir got into a heated argument with the motorcyclist, identified as Muhammad Rameez.”

The IO said Rameez was on his way home with his sister when, according to the motorcyclist, his two-wheeler skidded and hit the car.
Potohar Division SP Muhammad Atiq Tahir said four people were arrested after Maj Saghir lodged a complaint at the Race Course police station.
