Behind bars: Six militants nabbed in Lower Dir

Lalika said the gang was involved in bomb blasts and extortion cases

TIMERGARA: Security forces arrested a gang of six alleged militants from Jandol, Lower Dir on Wednesday. This was announced by Dir Scouts Commandant Colonel Nasar Umar Hayat Lalika during his visit to a seminary in Khal. Addressing ulema and seminary students, Lalika said the gang was involved in bomb blasts and extortion cases in the area. “Security force officials also seized a huge cache of weapons and suicide vests from their possession,” he said. According to Lalika, a large number of militants who have been involved in terrorist activities in the district have been taken into custody.
