HANGU:
Army’s helicopter gunships on Tuesday hit targets in Central Orkazai Agency, killing at least five militants and destroying two of their hideouts.
A security official said the gunships bombed positions of militants in Saifal Darra, Tangi and Kasha areas of Central Orakzai in the early hours of Tuesday.
Around 11 militants were also killed Monday afternoon when warplanes strafed militants’ sanctuaries in Darand Sheikhan, Ibrahimo, Takhtak Sheikhan, Tor Samat and Begu Tangi areas of the agency. Three hideouts of militants were decimated in Monday’s blitz bombing.
According to local sources, some missiles also missed their target and landed on a residential area, resulting in the death of five women and a child and injuries to 15 others.
