In the coal mines: Police arrest 58 Afghans, seize weapons

HYDERABAD: The Jamshoro police have arrested 58 men of Afghan origin during a search operation in the coal mines of Khanote located near the Indus Highway. The police claim to have recovered some pistols and bullets from their possession. SSP Tariq Wilayat told The Express Tribune that the identities of the detained suspects were being verified. Eleven of the suspects have been booked under the Foreigners Act. Action against illegal Afghan immigrants is part of the National Action Plan.
