The head of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in Balochistan, Sardar Sanaullah Zehri, said on Friday that he will be the next chief minister of the province, citing the Murree Pact inked by the three coalition partners – PML-N, the ruling National Party (NP) and Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP).
“Senior leaders of all three collation parties have signed the agreement and I am sure Dr Malik will support me as the next chief minister as we extended our complete support to him,” Sanaullah Zehri said while speaking to the media after chairing the session attended by the party’s district presidents and general secretaries on Friday.
Sarfaraz Bugti, Izhar Khosa, Akber Askani and other senior PML-N’s provincial ministers also attended the session.
“The Murree Pact is a reality which was published in national and local newspapers, which the prime minister had also endorsed,” he said. The three-party deal will be fully implemented in the province and he will be the next chief minister of Balochistan, Zehri reiterated.
He said despite having majority in the Assembly, the PML-N sacrificed the slot of chief minister on the directives of PML-N central leadership.
The PML-N’s provincial president said that Majid Abro has been removed from his post of adviser to the chief minister on Zakat over party indiscipline during the Senate polls, and vowed strict actions would be taken against any party worker found violating discipline.
“I had informed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif about Majid Abro’s negative role in the Senate elections, and he ordered a strict action against him.”
