ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration on Thursday approved 45 development schemes for rural areas under the Islamabad Development Working Party (IDWP).

The schemes were approved by Chief Commissioner Islamabad Zulfiqar Haider at a IDWP meeting also attended by officials from the ministry of planning commission, the ministry of interior and others.

The schemes included renovation of 36 family quarters in Sector H-11 at a cost of Rs51.881 million, construction of a basic health unit with staff accommodation at Kuri at a cost of Rs56.528 million, street pavements in Sihala and Rawat Union Council at a cost of Rs59.996 million, construction of a boundary wall of the Sabzi Mandi Police Station at a cost of Rs37.747 million, construction of a road in Bhara Kahu at a cost of Rs58.000 million, street pavements of Noor Pur Shahan and adjoining areas at a cost of Rs56.000 million.

Similarly, Rs4.116 million was approved for street pavements in Dhok Ratta and Rawat and Rs48.241 million for street pavements in Khayam Town, Rehan Town and Dhok Suleman.

Similarly, Rs 59.909 million was approved for the rehabilitation of a road in Bani Gala and construction of new road along with a nullah in the Khanna area, Rs52.732 million for the construction of a road in Tarlai, Rs55.344 million for the rehabilitation of streets in Madina Town, Rs18.065 million for street pavements in New Shaheen Town and R27.155 million for street pavements in village Sorian Abdullah Garden Phase-1.
