Close call: School principal survives attack

PESHAWAR: The principal of a private educational institute survived a bomb blast targeting him in Mathra area of the provincial capital on Tuesday, police said. Saifullah was on his way home when a locally-assembled bomb went off in Sarfaraz village. He survived the attack but his car was badly damaged. Saifullah registered a case with the police, accusing his neighbours Khawaja, Amjad, Bawar Khan, Sardar Alam and Khan Wali of the attack. He alleged the suspects had already been nominated in a case wherein they demanded Rs3 million in extortion money from him. Police has started an investigation.
