Minister for States and Frontier Regions Abdul Qadir Baloch received the passengers on behalf of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
In-charge of the Crises Management Cell, Jauhar Saleem while talking to media said more than 1,000 Pakistanis had returned from the war-stricken country, whereas another flight will return soon.
He informed that of the 178 people who registered for return, a few chose to stay in Yemen on their own will.
Saleem said the flight operation will continue until all stranded citizens were escorted and brought back safely to Pakistan.
Earlier during the day, the plane had departed to Sanaa, city of Yemen to evacuate the Pakistani nationals.

Another homecoming anticipated is of the navy’s vessel PNS Aslat, which is scheduled to dock at Karachi port on April 7 carrying 147 Pakistanis and 36 foreigners.

It is worth mentioning that a joint session of Parliament will take place on Monday to mull upon the deteriorating political situation of Yemen, determine the country's role in the war and decide whether or not Pakistan Army troops will be sent to the country to offer their services.
