Week-On-Week: SPI rises 0.20%

The SPI for the combined income group decreased 0.46% from 206.78 points

ISLAMABAD: The Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI) for the week ended April 2 registered an increase of 0.20% over the previous week for the lowest income group. The SPI for the group stood at 200.00 points against 199.61 in the previous week, according to provisional figures released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. The SPI for the combined income group decreased 0.46% from 206.78 points in the previous week to 207.74 in the week under review. Compared to the corresponding week of last year, the SPI for the combined income group fell 2.34%. During the week, average prices of 16 items fell in a selected basket of goods, prices of 10 items rose and rates of remaining 27 goods recorded no change.
