LAHORE: A consumer court on Monday fixed April 8 for arguments on a suit seeking Rs250,000 damages from the manager and the chief executive of a marriage hall.

Petitioner Muhammad Younis told the court he had reserved Zahid Marriage Hall for February 23 for the valima feast of his son. He said he had paid Rs5,000 in advance to the hall management. He said the hall administration had later booked the venue for another party. He said he had had an argument with the management that had refused to return him the advance he had paid. Younis said he had had to arrange the function at another banquet hall at a higher cost.
