Caught at last: Political worker arrested from Hyd

HYDERABAD: A worker of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Liaquat Colony sector was arrested by Rangers personnel in a raid in Zeal Pak Colony on Wednesday night. The suspect, whose arrest has not been officially declared, was identified as Muhammad Saleem alias Paro. Police officials, who confirmed the raid and detention of Paro, said that he along with other suspects, is an absconder in the murder case of Jani Rind, registered at the Sakhi Pir police station. MQM spokesperson Imran Noor neither confirmed nor denied Paro’s arrest or his affiliation with the party. He said, however, that the Rangers raided some homes in the vicinity of the sector office which led to rumours of a raid at the office.
