LAHORE:

Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif visited the residence of one of the two men lynched in the aftermath of two suicide attacks in Youhanabad last Sunday. He visited Muhammad Naeem’s house in Kasur and condoled the bereaved family.

He assured them that they would be granted justice. He said the government shared the family’s grief. Sharif announced Rs500,000 financial assistance for heirs of the deceased and appreciated their patience and forbearance in the situation. Terrorism, extremism, sectarianism and poverty are some of the biggest challenges the country is faced with, Sharif said in his message for Pakistan Day.

“We are making sincere efforts to eradicate these problems and the only way forward from here is if we display the same indomitable spirit of the participants of the Pakistan Movement.”
