Heinous crime: Woman ‘raped’ by five in Jhang

FAISALABAD: Police said on Friday that five men had raped a woman in Jhang’s Satellite Town area. Akhar Ali, an uncle of the victim, said Shahid and Asif had assaulted his niece along with their accomplices at her residence in Chak 455. He said they had raped her several times after forcibly entering the house. Ali said they had beaten her when she resisted. He said they had fled from the spot after the victim lost consciousness. Ali said the woman’s family had found her in critical condition on their return. He said she had been taken to a hospital.  The Satellite Town SHO said a case had been registered against the suspects. He said a police team had been constituted to nab them.
