ISLAMABAD:

The Supreme Court has made it clear that no violation of its October 25, 2013 order regarding banning of commercial activities in the area of Margalla Hills National Park will be countenanced.

“All violators of our orders shall be proceeded against,” a three-member bench of the apex court, headed by Justice Jawwad S Khawaja said, while hearing a petition, filed by Israr Ahmed and others, seeking initiation of contempt of court proceeding against CDA Chairman Maroof Afzal Khan and others for violating the court’s order. The top court in its October 25, 2013 order had restrained the respondents from constructing a tunnel in the Margalla Hills.
