KRL improve ranking with 2-1 win

Wapda stay top despite goalless draw in football league.

KARACHI: Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) defeated Baloch FC 2-1 while Wapda drew against Afghan Football Club in the Pakistan Premier League.

Baloch FC’s Sanaullah put KRL ahead but Yasir Afridi netted the equaliser eight minutes later as the team went in all-square at the interval. Muhammad Adil sealed the win for KRL in the 58th minute.

With this win KRL climbed up one spot to seventh in the league with 39 points while Baloch FC stay 11th with 31 points.

Meanwhile, despite the draw in Chaman, Wapda continues to dominate the league with 55 points and Afghan FC holds on to the sixth position with 39 points after 25 matches.

“We still have our chance of winning the league if we win at least five out of the remaining 10 matches in the league,” Afghan FC captain Jadeed Khan told The Express Tribune.
