Onset of spring: Green Islamabad drive kicks off

The CDA plans to plant around 0.45 million saplings on green belts and major avenues during the drive.

The CDA on Thursday launched the “Green Islamabad Campaign” to increase the number of plants in the capital city. The tree plantation drive, which has been dedicated to the victims of the Army Public School, was inaugurated by CDA Chairman by planting a tree in Sector D-12. Former cricketer Saqlain Mushtaq, drama artists Kanwal Naseer Laila Zubairi and a large number of citizens were also present.

AMB | 9 years ago | Reply wow, its like offering a glass of water to a fish. These drives should be initiated in places like Karachi/Queta....Thar. Pakistan...where (only) the Green gets greener.
