KARAK: Around 12 gas connection lines blew up following an increase in pressure in Shagai Road area on Wednesday. According to Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited official Raza Khan, residents of Karak had sent multiple complaints of low pressure of natural gas in their connections. The incident occurred when SNGPL officials increased pressure in order to resolve the issue, adding the use of substandard piping material was the cause of the accident. Khan said gas supply has been suspended and site teams are busy repairing the connections.
