LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge on Tuesday sought comments from the Shahdra SHO in a petition seeking directives for registration of a fraud case against a butcher. Petitioner Muhammad Gulzar submitted that the SHO had not taken any action on his complaint against Akram, who runs a meat shop in the neighbourhood. He said he had asked Akram for a kg of mutton and paid him accordingly. But, he said, when he reached home and checked the shopping bag he found out that he had been given beef for the price of mutton. The petitioner said he returned to the shop and got his money back after an argument. However, he said, the butcher had threatened him with dire consequences if he reported the matter to the police. He requested the court to direct the SHO to take action against the butcher.
