Rally Killing: ATC restrained from continuing trial
The bench gave the provincial government till March 16
LAHORE:
A Lahore High Court division bench restrained an anti-terrorism court on Tuesday from continuing the trial of a man held for the murder of a Pakistan Tehrik Insaf activist during a public rally last year. The bench gave the provincial government till March 16 to respond to a petition against the inquiry report of a joint investigation team formed to probe the matter. Petitioner Ata Muhammad, brother of the deceased, had contended that the JIT had not included Minister of State Abid Sher Ali, former provincial law minister Rana Sanaullah and Faisalabad District Coordination Officer Noorul Amin Mengal in its inquiry.
