Akhtar offers Mohiuddin role in Bollywood film

Writer-lyricist feels Indian actors will get to learn a lot from the Pakistani legend

KARACHI: Pakistani film actor, Ghulam Mohiuddin has been offered a role in a Bollywood film by renowned writer and lyricist, Javed Akhtar reported the Roznama Express.

Akhtar in a telephonic conversation with the publication revealed that he had offered Mohiuddin to appear in Bollywood films. “He is a legend of the Pakistani film industry and Indian actors will get to learn a lot by working alongside him,” stated Akhtar.

He added that, “Pakistani artistes are playing an important role in the evolution of Indian artistes as there is no competing with Pakistan in the fields of theatre and television. Actors from both countries have the potential to perform well and we should make use of the experience of actors like Ghulam Mohiuddin.”

The Pakistani actor has himself acknowledged the news of being offered a chance to work in Indian films by Javed Akhtar saying, “I am grateful for the opportunity by Javed Akhtar and there are many Paksitani actors working in Bollywood right now. As a Pakistani we should put our industry first as we earn a lot of respect from the people of this country.”

Mohiuddin has previously starred in renowned Pakistani films, such as Chambaili, Mushkil and Aag Hi Aag.

Several Pakistani actors have previously worked in Bollywood films with the most notable being Javed Sheikh, Ali Zafar, Humaima Mallick and most recently Fawad Khan.
