LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MNA Rohail Asghar’s son who was arrested on Monday night for allegedly beating up a guard at a military-owned golf and country club was released on bail on Tuesday. Ali Rohail Asghar was held by the Garrison Golf and Country Club security personnel over a scuffle between him and a guard, identified as Hussain. The guard said he had asked him to stop his car for a security check. Asghar was later handed over to the North Cantonment police where an FIR was registered against him. Hussain stated that Asghar, who was driving to a wedding at the club, had threatened him with grave consequences on his refusal to let him enter the premises without a security check. “He (Asghar) then started hitting me,” Hussain said. He said other guards had later intervened and taken the MNA’s son into custody.  Sheikh Rohail Asghar was elected MNA in the general election of 2013 from NA-124 constituency in Lahore.
