Benazir shaheed hospital: Woman robbed of valuables

ABBOTABAD: A woman was robbed of cash and other valuables at a hospital in Abbotabad during the early hours of Saturday. Ishrat Bibi, a resident of Kumharan village in Pind Kargo Khan, told journalists she had been attending to her maternal aunt who had been admitted to Benazir Shaheed District Headquarters Hospital for the last four days. “At around 3am, a thief entered the ward my aunt was admitted to and tried to steal my purse while I was asleep,” she said. “Fortunately, I woke up and tried to resist. However, the thief pushed me aside and snatched my purse.” According to Ishrat, the purse contained Rs15,000 in cash, a mobile phone and a gold ring.
