Tragic: Boy killed in jubilation firing

Ali Hasnain, a resident of Iqbalnagar was injured and taken to a hospital. He was pronounced dead on arrival.

A boy was killed in jubilation firing during Basant celebrations on Friday.


In various parts of Faisalabad, the youngsters celebrated mini Basant by flying a large of kites in the air.

The police despite tall claims failed to check sale, purchase and flying of kites.

Ali Hasnain, a resident of Iqbalnagar was injured and taken to a hospital. He was pronounced dead on arrival.

Later, police took the body to Allied Hospital for autopsy. They did not register a case of the incident.

The Saddar SHO said police had not received any complaint regarding the incident.

City Police Officer Sohail Habib Tajik took notice of the incident and sought action against kite flyers. Nearly one dozen people were detained in various raids.
