Looks like retro-fashioned noir frocks coupled with tights are back in vogue. Natalie Portman and Nicole Kidman struck a graceful pose on the red carpet at the 65th Berlin International Film Festival in Los Angeles. Donning vintage-Hollywood so diversely while maintaining an epic sense of elegance, we couldn’t decide who looked better.
Hair and make-up
The 33-year-old Black Swan star wore her brunette locks in a neat yet elegant up-do and kept the makeup minimal. Sporting a dewy glow, the actor went for a luminous complexion that accentuated her natural sheen. Rocking a nude-pink lip, the Oscar winner went for flushed cheeks and a jet manicure.
The actor sizzled in a bejewelled long-sleeved black dress from Lanvin’s pre-fall 2015 collection, which she teamed with opaque tights. The fit and flare shape suited Natalie’s slender frame just right, while the intricately detailed silver-sequin-embellished bodice took it to retro-sartorial heights.
Leaving all of her accessories behind, Natalie stood tall in sky high pointed pumps and carried a box-style clutch bag, leaving her jewel encrusted dress do all the talking.
Hair and make-up
Embodying a retro theme, The Hours actor had her golden locks flawlessly styled in a sleek bob and a neat side part. Adding a splash of contoured make-up to enhance her chiselled looks, the blue-eyed beauty worked a burgundy pout and precisely ruled eye-liner.
Exuding class and sophistication, Nicole rocked a classic LBD plucked from Nicolas Ghesquiere’s much-admired Resort 2015 collection, which she paired with tights. The simple black number comprised an on-trend zip down the front and was cinched at the waist to highlight the star’s miniscule waist.
The statuesque star teamed her flattering frock with a pair of patent leather booties by Nicolas Ghesquiere and accessorised minimally with a set of hanging lush-green statement earrings and a blingy ring.
