Heinous: Four-year old raped ‘by neighbour’

In another incident, a female student of grade 9 was raped by four youths

FAISALABAD:

A four-year-old girl was abducted from her house in Chak 67-JB on Wednesday and raped at a neighbour’s house.

Thikriwala SHO said a boy from the area had abducted the child from her house and took her to his house. Neighbours heard screams from his drawing room and gathered in front of his house. He said the boy managed to flee.

The child was taken to a hospital for treatment and police are looking for the suspect. “We will hopefully arrest him in the next 24 hours,” he said.

In another incident, a girl student of grade 9 was raped by four youths in the vicinity of Gojra City police.

The victim’s uncle, a resident of Mehdi Mohallah, told The Express Tribune that his 13-year-old niece was on her way from the market with her younger sister when four boys accosted them and carried them to a deserted location. He said the younger sister managed to escape and ran home to tell her parents what had happened.

The girls’ family rushed to the scene and looked for the girl. “We searched the area and heard screams coming from a house which was locked from the inside. When we knocked on the door, the boys fled when they saw us.”

The uncle said that they had entered the house and found the girl in a terrible condition. They took her to the Government Eye cum General Hospital Gojra for treatment. One of the doctors there said her condition was critical. Gojra City SHO said they had received information about the incident and were investigating it.

He said he had constituted a police team to look for the boys.
