ISLAMABAD:

The convoy of Balochistan Governor, Nawab Zulfiqar Magsi, escaped a bomb attack in the Mungichar area of Balochistan on Tuesday.

Official sources say unidentified men planted an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) on the Quetta-Karachi highway in the Mungichar area of Kalat. The governor was on his way back to Quetta from Kalat.

The device exploded when the last vehicle of the convoy was passing from the area. No casualties were reported.

A large number of Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel cordoned off the area and started a search operation for the suspects.
