LAHORE: Ameena Sohail’s appointment as a legal member at the Ministry of Information Technology was challenged in the Lahore High Court on Friday. Advocate Noshab A Khan filed the petition saying that Sohail was appointed as a legal member on December 12 although several more deserving candidates were available. He said that this was a case of nepotism. Khan requested the court to direct the ministry to withdraw the notification for her appointment. He also asked the court to summon Sohail to court to explain how she was competent to hold the office.
