KARACHI: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) sent a suspect allegedly involved in the murder of Karachi University dean Dr Shakil Auj to jail custody and ordered the police to submit a complete investigation report at the next hearing on February 25. The suspect, Muhammad Mansoor, was produced before the ATC-I judge, Bashir Ahmed Khoso, after the completion of his physical remand. During the hearing, investigation officer DSP Hussain Ahmed Nasir Lodhi revealed that the suspect disclosed the whereabouts of his absconding accomplice, Naeem Jabalpuri, but the police were unable to find him. A key prosecution witness has also recognised the suspect during an identification parade before a judicial magistrate so the suspect does not need to be interrogated further, said Lodhi.
