Crackdown: Action against illegal parking lots

LAHORE: DCO Captain (retd) Muhammad Usman directed all town administrators and the Lahore Parking Company (LPC) general manager on Wednesday to crackdown on illegal parking stands. Following the DCO’s instructions, Shalamar Assistant Commissioner Arshad Bhatti raided four illegal parking stands in Shalamar Town and handed over their management to the LPC. Two people operating the parking stands were taken into custody. Raiwind Assistant Commissioner Ali Shahzad also conducted an operation at Yateem Khana Chowk and removed several illegal parking stands. A case was registered against one of the contractors who managed to flee before the administration team arrived at the parking stand. The Nishter Town administrator removed a parking stand near Chungi Amer Sidhu. An illegal parking lot for motorcycles was removed and one person was arrested. In another crackdown, the Ravi Town TMA and the LPC general manager raided illegal parking stands near Minar-i-Pakistan and sealed them. The contractor at the parking lot managed to flee. However, the Lahore Parking Company filed a complaint against him.
