PCSEA had informed the government that securing an NOC from the Anti-Corruption Department was pointless

LAHORE: The government abrogated a provision requiring receipt of an NOC from the Anti-Corruption Department for officials below BPS-16 on Wednesday.

The development came about after the Punjab Civil Secretariat Employees’ Association had urged the government to repeal the provision six months ago.

The PCSEA had informed the government that securing an NOC from the Anti-Corruption Department was pointless as administrative heads of all departments already issued the certificates to subordinates.

The PCSEA welcomed the decision saying hundreds of officials below BPS-16 would be promoted in the wake of the development.
