Power crisis: Affordable electricity our priority: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on Tuesday the government has prioritised provision of electricity at affordable rates to the people and steps are being taken to minimise load-shedding in least possible time. He was chairing the eighth meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Energy here at the Prime Minister House, which reviewed progress on the implementation of decisions taken in the previous seven meetings. The premier directed that Neelum-Jhelum Hydropower project be completed within the given time-frame. He asked the ministries concerned to take steps for meeting funds requirement to ensure timely completion.
