FC personnel killed in Hangu landmine blast

The FC personnel died on the spot; search operation conducted soon after but no arrest was made

HANGU: A security forces personnel was killed when a landmine exploded in the Bezo Sar area of Lower Kurram Agency on Monday.

According to an official of the security forces, Frontier Corps personnel Farooq stepped on a landmine, which was planted by unknown militants, while he was getting water. There was an explosion and Farooq died on the spot.

An official added that members of the security force started a search operation in the area, however no arrests have been made till the filing of this report.
